Simple socket send of byte[]

I have a pda with an xml file on it. I want to dock that device, then press
a button to transfer the xml file over to the host pc. Can anyone provide me
a simple sample of how to do this? I have been trying to do something simple
like create a socket connection to the host (using PPP_PEER) and then sending
over a byte[] and reconstructing the bytes into a file on the other side, but
just keep running into various problems. Can anyone help???

Cheers
