Doubt

Hello Guyz

We are planning to simulate the front panel of a Car Radio in PC. We want to
use it for demo purposes. Especially in situations where we don't have the
actual hardware available, we want to simulate all the user actions from the
PC itself. The project is going to be for 3 months.

We have to decide the development environment for this project. If any of
you or your friends have done similar thing, kindly let me know what they
have used. Also please give your ideas about this.

Apart from VB and C# is there any language where we can do the GUI and with
some back end development faster. The IDE need not be from Microsoft but the
final SW should run in windows. Any thoughts on Macromedia's Flash?

P.S:

I am sorry if this mail is not applicable to you.

Best Regards

Hi Hari,

Some of our customers have done hardware style simulations with touch
screens. See the link below.

I don't see any issues writing this with C# except for the normal drawbacks
of .net:
- largish distribution with many dependancies
- win98 or newer only

The graphics ability in C# is pretty good so on that grounds might make a
good choice. It can work with directshow if you need it to play tracks when
the user clicks buttons. If you need another programmer let me know, sounds
like my sort of project. :-)
