The connection string what you wrote is correct just eliminate the semicolon at the end

try it out

"data source=xxxx;database=xxx;uid=xxx;pwd=xxx"

Suggest don't use master account sa for this application if it makes it to production.

Do you:
A) Have an SQL server running on your computer?
B) Have the default Northwind database still?


Also, what is the error you are getting?
