SqlConnection con=new SqlConnection("Initial Catalog=Northwind;Data Source=local;uid=sa;pwd=sa;");
try like this

SqlConnection con=new SqlConnection("user id=sa;password=;Initial Catalog=Northwind;Data Source=local")

hello

The connection string what you wrote is correct just eliminate the semicolon at the end

try it out

"data source=xxxx;database=xxx;uid=xxx;pwd=xxx"

Do you:
A) Have an SQL server running on your computer?
B) Have the default Northwind database still?


Also, what is the error you are getting?
