Error trying to consume dataset from web service

I'm kinda new to web services... I'm trying to consume a web service that
returns a dataset and am getting this error:

Server was unable to process request. ---Object reference not set to an
instance of an object.

Here's my code:

Dim myDS As New System.Data.DataSet
myDS = serviceShoe.LoadCustomers() ' This is where the error is being thrown

ComboBox1.DataSource = myDS.Tables("Clients")
ComboBox1.DisplayMember = "ClientName"

myDS = Nothing
I'm going crazy trying to figure this out...
