correct notation for parameterized query in TableAdapter??

When I am working on the tutorials about data access from www.asp.net,
every time I try to use the parameterized queries, and I type something
like @CategoryID, it is changed to ? in the query builder and in the
select statement for the TableAdapter.

For example, my query in the DataSet Designer becomes: SELECT
ProductID, ProductName, SupplierID, CategoryID, QuantityPerUnit,
UnitPrice, UnitsInStock, UnitsOnOrder, ReorderLevel, Discontinued FROM
Products WHERE (CategoryID = ?).

The tutorial says: SELECT ProductID, ProductName, SupplierID,
CategoryID, QuantityPerUnit, UnitPrice, UnitsInStock, UnitsOnOrder,
ReorderLevel, Discontinued FROM Products WHERE (CategoryID =
@CategoryID).

Is something wrong with my VS2005 (really VSTO) setup?? Is there some
setting I should change??

This happens regardless of whether I use the Northwind database
(SS2000) or another database (SS2005).

Or is it correct anyway and I should proceed forth anyhow??

Thank you, Tom
