cannot load spreadsheet to a StoreFrontdatabase but can do it one item at a time.

I'm using StoreFront software in my webstore. I can import one product at a time to my sql database using Internet interface, but when I attempt to import a .csv or tab (saved as from Excel) database, I receive the following error:

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
