export to excel and save

13
Hi,

I can export a datagrid into excel format by following code on button click

"Response.ContentType = "application/vnd.ms-excel"

clicking on the button open a dialog box asking whether to open the file or save the file from which we choose open and the datagrid opens in excel format.

What i want is on button click i want the datagrid to be saved into a specific folder in excel format without any dialog box poping up

ThankYou

This code will by default include such features. Actually its a very safe and elegant way of saving any file. But if you still feel you want to save it at one shot. Then just create a custom button and code for the same to save the file on clicked. Here you can hard code your storage adress.... But it looks quite ugly to be implemented in real time in this fashion.
