general questions

Ian
1) Object::Equal can be overloaded to perform a value comparision between 2
objects. In native C++ I typically did this by overloading the equality
comparison operator (i.e. operator==() ). The "Pro Visual C++/CLI" book by
Fraser conspicuously omits any reference to the equality comparision
operator. I believe the MSDN documentation also makes no reference to
overloading 'operator==' in managed C++. Is MS recommending that value
comparision now be performed using Object::Equal and discourages the use of
the equality comparision operator? More specifically, should 'operator=='
in managed C++ be expected to provide the same functionality as
Object::ReferenceEquals?

2) How compatiable will code written for .NET 2.0 be with WPF? For example,
it is my impression that porting code from MFC to .NET is an extensive
undertaking. Will the same be true for .NET 2.0 and WPF?

Thanks,

Ian
