Building a C++ project using MakeProjectCreator (MPC)

Has anyone here built their C++ project using MakeProjectCreator (MPC)
rather than using the Visual Studio (VS) GUI? I know this is a bit of a
longshot but I am getting desperate.

I come from a UNIX background so I prefer to run things via scripts and as
batch processes, rather than be tied into the GUI. Also I am finding that
the tight integration between VS and VSS (cough, cough) is causing
problems. This is why I want to build outside it.

Regards,

Andrew Marlow
