xpath challange

Hi!

I have the following xml structure:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<assemblies>
<assembly name="a1">
<dependency name="d2">
<dependency name="d3" />
<dependency name="d4">
<dependency name="d5" />
</dependency>
</dependency>
<dependency name="d6">
<dependency name="d7">
<dependency name="d8" />
<dependency name="d5">
<dependency name="d9" />
</dependency>
</dependency>
<dependency name="d10" />
</dependency>
</assembly>
<assembly name="a2">
<dependency name="d2">
<dependency name="d3" />
<dependency name="d5">
<dependency name="d7" />
</dependency>
</dependency>
<dependency name="d10" />
</assembly>
</assemblies>

I'm looking for an xpath that'll give my all assembly nodes that contain a
dependency (at anyl evel within that assebly node) with a certain name. I
have to following: //assembly[dependency[@name='" + _dependencyNameToLookFor
+ "']] but i seems to give my all that have the dependency at only the FIRST
level within that assembly. I need //assembly[dependency[@name='d5']] to
return both assembly nodes and that //assembly[dependency[@name='d9']] only
reeturn the first. I've tried //assembly[//dependency[@name='d5']] but that
retruns all assebly nodes as I guess that xpath look in the whole document
for d5 and not just in the contenxt of the current assembly.

Thanks

I think you want
//assembly[.//dependency[@name='d5']]
