how to declare variable of unknown length

366 256MB
hi frnds

i am doing a project where i am reading data from a memory location (from embedded board IC) from that data comes contineously with starting as Tx and end as Rx but there may be any number of Tx and Rx i.e the length of data(string ) is not constant may vary from 10 characters to one lakh characters

now i want to find out the length of that string ,but how can i store it to find the length.

is there any data type that can store any size of data in any language

Please give if any idea how to solve this problem

thanks

Try this

string strString = "Help me I am a string and I do not know how long I am";

Response.write(strString.Length);

Hope this helps... ;-)
