customizable event calendar?

anyone please tell me ...
how to enter events like [..meetings,birthdays] in the calendar control of C#.net.
ie; when i click a date, a textbox will appear for entering the event & when i click the button,that event will be entered in that particular date column,like that every dates r to be customizable.
i used this method to create textbox and button..but when i press the button nothing happens...please tell me how will i write the event for the button when i press it
