read xml doc requiring username/password

Hi;

The following works - but I am asking if this is the best way to do this. I
need an XPathNavigator for an xml file that is located on a server. This file
may need a username/password to get to it. Is this the best way to do so:
XmlUrlResolver resolver = new XmlUrlResolver();
resolver.Credentials = dsi.Credentials; // These are NetworkCredentials
XmlDocument xdoc = new XmlDocument();
xdoc.XmlResolver = resolver;
xdoc.Load(ds.XmlFilename);
nav = xdoc.CreateNavigator();

Hi Dave,

In my opinion, it is the best way to do this.

where an initial response from the community or a Microsoft Support

up response may take approximately 2 business days as the support
professional working with you may need further investigation to reach the
most efficient resolution. The offering is not appropriate for situations
that require urgent, real-time or phone-based interactions or complex
