Use XML containing DIV with aspx.plzz help

I have an ASPX page with a Header section and a Footer section.

I'd like to put the transformed XML right in the middle.
In the .aspx page, i defined <span id ="spnData" runat ="server"></span> and in the .cs page, I used spnData.InnerHtml= <{Function to transform XML}>.
The Transformed XML has many <div> tags . The middle section is not appearing in browser as I have a div tag within my span element (="spnData").

Please suggest what I can use in the .aspx page to load the transformed XML containing many div tags. Note that the transformed XML will contain div tags..
