creating PDF-files with barcode

Hi,

I would like to create a small application that creates a new PDF-File,
using an excisting PDF-file as background template, adding some text and a
unique barcode. I would like to create my own type of barcode and not use
any excisting types.

Can anyone recommend and libs, SDKs or COMs ?

thanx

I've been using AbcPDF http://www.websupergoo.com/abcpdf-1.htm. It seems it
would do everything you need ... you can open an existing file and create a
new layer over for your text / barcode.

I'm creating pdf files using "nfob". See
http://xmlgraphics.apache.org/fop/index.html and
http://www.geekswithblogs.net/casual...les/49098.aspx

Content is stored in an xml file and transformed xslt to "formatted
objects". The formatted objects are compiled with nfob to pdf.
