Hi
1. I am a pure Winforms C# developer trying to learn Web Services from a
book (don't laugh)
2. I have a new XP Pro (SP2) installation with IIS and a new VS2003
Architect installation
3. I start a new web service project (Everything is created fine on IIS),
uncomment the "Hello world" sample code and hit run.
4. I get the first screen listing my methods. I click Hello World and get
the next page with Invoke on it. I click Invoke
5. I get a new window pops up with a 500 Internal Error
6. Breakpoints and Debug.Writelines don't work. The Event log is empty.
7. I made sure my IUSR_xxxx was an Administrator
8. In IIS, I have anonymous access and Integrated Windows Authentication on
I know this is total noobie stuff. But any advice would be welcome?
