using relative paths with FileSystemObject

I'm trying to set up a simple guestbook script on my ASP-based site. The
code is not working and is not throwing errors, and I suspect it is because
the FileSystemObject is not liking the relative pathname I gave it.

(using IIS on Windows 2000 Terminal server)

this code is intended to display the text from the file:

MyFile = "./guestbooks/file.txt"

response.write (MyFile)

'Opens the guestbook file if it exists
Set MyFileObj=Server.CreateObject("Scripting.FileSyste mObject")
IF MyFileObj.FileExists(MyFile) THEN
Set MyTextFile=MyFileObj.OpenTextFile(MyFile)

'Reads a line, and outputs it
WHILE NOT MyTextFile.AtEndOfStream
%>
<HR>
<%=MyTextFile.ReadLine%>
</HR>
<%
WEND

'Closes the textfile
MyTextFile.Close
END IF' Does file exist

can I not use a relative path with a FileSystemObject? what do I need to
change to get it to work?

Thanks, Amanda

* my apologies if ASP questions are not appropriate in this forum, it is my
understanding that .NET is the successor for Active Server Pages, but I'm not
caught up on the differences, and I didn't see a different forum for ASP.
