I have a Winforms app written in .Net 1.1 (C#) that runs great so long
as Outlook isn't open. As soon as I have Outlook running, the entire
computer becomes sluggish and Outlook simply stops working for the most
part. If, for instance, I have both my app and Outlook running and I
try to open an email, outlook becomes unresponsive until I close my app
again.
Can anyone suggest a good way to track down what is causing this
behaviour. something like a magic application that is free, will tell
me exactly what is happening with system resources and help me bring
about world peace? Okay, I can wait until v2 for world peace, but
something that might help me track down what resources are being shared
and causing this problem would be really really handy.
I'm also open to any manual processes someone can suggest. I've started
shutting down different parts of the app to see if they are causing
issues (i.e. I shut down app logging, then turned off wrting data to
file - both to no avail) but this could be time consuming and
potentially introduce other bugs.
Cheers and thanks in advance!
