Screen blanking under w2k.

I have a couple of .net applications (not written by me) which cause the
entire screen to go "blank" (e.g. black) immediately after strating the
applications. The screen remains blanked for 2-4 seconds, during which time
the mouse cursor appears as a large white square block. After the 2-4
secons, the applications appear, and operate as expected.

Has anyone else seen this happen, and know the cause, and any solution to
the blanking?

Never seen this kind of behavior... are your graphic drivers up to date?
Are they graphic related applications or just normal/standard apps?

I hope it helps

I guess it may be video card/driver specific, since I do not get the blanking
on another w2k computer I have on the network. I have installed an updated
driver, it's the last one available from the mfr, dated 2002, but the problem
remains.

Guess I'll just have to live with it on this machine.

Thanks for the feedback.
