Hi,

Not sure if this is the right group for your question... this one is for
general questions regarding Microsoft dotNET programming...
You could try
microsoft.public.windows.live.messenger
or
microsoft.public.windowsxp.messenger

Have you tried uninstalling the emoticon program in Start-(Settings ->)
Control Panel -Add Remove Programs

Cheers,

Chris.

You should use reliable emoticon websites in the future, like
www.msnemo.com, they have lots of free emoticons over there without you
having to download any program. As for your problem, if you're using
windows XP you may try to reset your pc to a restore point you made in
the past. Or try google to search for people who had this problem
before.
