Unhandled exception

It seems like after about 3 post backs it generates an error which gives your
the option of sending the report or debugging. After debugging using
Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 it states:

Unhandled exception at 0x7dcbae1f in iexplore.exe: 0xc0000005: Access
violation reading location 0x00000001.

Then when I click on show assembly the following is shown:

7dcbae1f cmp byte ptr [eax+1], 81h

This seem to have started when I started query the Active Directory directly
istead of going through a databse in sql. Before I would have a database
populated through a windows service. I decided to go directly to the AD
instead because the window service wasn't getting all of the information.
Any ideas what is causeing this error?
