Wrapper class to run in a seperate process.

Hi all, I'm new to scripts forum.

I've a .NET wrapper class written in c# that makes some calls to native dlls using platform invocation. The native dlls inturn perform read operation on MSOffice files and return text data.

When I use this managed dll in my windows project, everything is working as intended and thus proving that both the .NET dll and the native dll works fine. When I use this dll in a ASP.NET web-application, the native dll returns an error that the file could not be opened. Initial research on this problem directed me to giving permissions for the file that I'm trying to read. That didn't solve the issue.

The support personal for the 3rd party native dll said that the wrapper class needs to be run in a seperate process from the aspnet_wp to be able to handle files.

A few articles say that I have to create a COM/COM+ surrogate object and place the wrapper library in it. Others say that I have to register my dll to run it in a seperate process. Could someone please tell me how to do this?

Thanks a lot
