SOAP from C++

Hi,

we have an existing application (written in VS 6.0 C++) that must do some
SOAP communication for a particular customer... It seems that the SOAP
toolkit 3.0 would be a good API for this particular problem, but it turns out
that it is deprecated by the .NET framework. I know the .NET framework is of
course the ideal environment for web services communication, but
unfortunately we do not have this option in VS6.0 C++ (correct me if I'm
wrong). Does this mean that MS does not have a supported API anymore for SOAP
when using C++ and that by consequence we must address a third party API?

Loog for gSOAP2 at http://gsoap2.sourceforge.net/
It's wonderful... both as server (publishing webservice) as well as client
(consuming WS).
