Calling Web Service using SSL

I wrote a Web service that is called from unmanaged C++\ATL client
application. It worked fine until I configure web service to require SSL.

As I understand from
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de...SecNetHT14.asp
now I have to install CA certificate on the client computer. Is there way to
avoid it?
