.net framework 2.0 install

I am going to install the .net framework 2.0 on our webserver.
Currently, we are running Win 2k server without any .net framework. I
want to know if there are any problems that I can expect with
installing the .net framework on a Win 2k Server machine without any
framework or is it a seamless process. I do not want to have to fix
the webserver, it is running our asp classic applications without a
problem. Also, will the asp classic pages work on the webserver with
..net 2.0 framework without any modifications?

You should not have a problem and yes, the ASP pages will work without
problem. ASP is COM based and a completely different system. In fact, you
can run ASP and ASP.NET in the same site, but have to work to share session.
