VS2005 Web Services on WS2003 R2

I am trying to install a Web-Service on Windows Server 2003 Standard
R2, the Service is generated by VS2005 Pro and runs perfectly on my
developer system.

The Windows Server 2003 Standard sever was set up from scratch in a
VMware Image, and serves HTML perfectly.
The system has ASP NET v2.0.50727 installed and enabled in the server
"Web Server Extensions" area.

The Web Service was built into a "Web Startup Project" and this was
installed into the image. the WebConfig file was altered to allow
remote debugging.

Running the DrawingServices.asmx file gives the following message:
__________________________________________________ __________________________
Parser Error Message: Could not create type 'DrawingService'.

Source Error:
Line 1: <%@ WebService Language="C#"
CodeBehind="~/App_Code/DrawingService.cs" Class="DrawingService" %>
__________________________________________________ __________________________

This is driving me mad, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance
