Disabling a Checkbox / RadioButton in Netscape

P: n/a
Hi All,

Has anyone ever tried disabling a checkbox or a
radiobutton web server control in netscape ?

While a textbox and a button control renders
disabled, .NET adds the disabled attribute to the span tag
in the case of a checkbox or a radiobutton. Effectively,
these controls are not disabled in netscape.

I am reduced to having to write client side script to
disable the controls.

Heres' the HTML source that got generated
--TEXTBOX

<input name="TextBox1" type="text" id="TextBox1"
disabled="disabled" style="Z-INDEX: 101; LEFT: 451px;
POSITION: absolute; TOP: 139px" />
--CHECKBOX

<span disabled="disabled" style="Z-INDEX: 103; LEFT:
499px; POSITION: absolute; TOP: 260px"><input
id="CheckBox1" type="checkbox" name="CheckBox1" /></span>
Does anyone have a better way of solving this problem
other than having to write client side code ??
Thanks in Advance
