Best use of Framework 1.1 class reference books

P: n/a

I have recently received a full set of the .NET Framework 1.1 Class
Library Reference.

After looking through them, I see no index, which I find to be really
irritating - if you don't know what class, namespace, etc., you are
looking for.

So, for those of you who have copies of the various volumes, how do
you get the best use from them? Do you use them in conjunction with
the MSDN files that come with Visual Studio? Scan through them during
lunch? Use them to win bets on the microsoft.public.dotnet.*
newsgroups? Use them as ballast in your bass boat (big grin)?
Thanks,
Mark Edwards
