row changed event handlers : Any Better Apprach ??

We need to perform math functions on the data from one or
more data sources and store the result of the math
function as a new data.
In order to achieve this result, we are currently using
global datatables (declared with withevents keyword) and
define row changed event handlers to calculate and
populate math function results. In our application
users can enter upto 10 years date range) and each could
be a math function based on multiple data source columns.
I'm not sure if our current approach is good for handling
such huge data.

Is there any better approach for this?
Any response will be highly appreciated.
Thanx & Regards,
Dinesh.
