Sharing config file across applications

Is it possible to share a config file across applications which uses
Microsoft's built in libraries to extract key/pairs?

I'd like to be able to Call
System.Configuration.ConfigurationSettings.AppSett ings["key"] (or something
similar) from multiple applications and access the same config file. Eric
