MDI Child Window problems

P: n/a
Joe
Hello,

I have an application in which a few mdi child forms are
inside of an mdi parent. My problem arises when you
minimize these forms. I want them to be hidden when
minimized and not docked to the bottom of the mdi parent.
I have tried using a class and keeping an array of the
form objects so i could pass those objects around, but
using Form.Hide or Form.Visible = False and then calling
Form.Show or Form.Visible = True throws an exception
about not being able to create the window handle. I also
tried looping through each mdi child in the parent. No
luck with that either. I did notice that when you
maximize the child form, then minimize and hide it, it
will work, but, if you keep it at Normal size and then
minimize and close, it does not work. Also, if you add a
new child form, the hidden child becomes visible, but
stays at the bottom of the mdi parent. Any clues or any
help would be greatly appreciated as I have been pulling
my hair out over this and I am starting to think I am
missing something simple here.

Thank You
