regular expression help

P: n/a
Hi all,

I want to parse a string so that all the lines of text are wrapped in
<li></li> tags.

This I can do :

(^)(.{2,}?)($)

However after this I want to find a a line that begins with an unusual
character and not wrap it.

This is because you get a few lines of text, the bullets, followed ,
occassionaly by a * which has more details.

You know how your mind goes blank when doing regular expressions ? well I've
got that ;)

Thanks in advance,

Chris.
