What is a good resource for Best Practices?

I took an hour or two to browse for articles, sites, and books that discuss
practical patterns and best practices for XML Web Services in .NET.
Essentially, I've gone through the Quick Starts <a
href="http://samples.gotdotnet.com/quickstart/aspplus/doc/webservicesintro.aspx">here</a>
and have created my own web service. Now I want to steal your years of
experience and design good Web Services.

I found two books of interest:
- Microsoft .NET Distributed Applications: Integrating XML Web Services and
..NET Remoting
- Programming Microsoft .NET XML Web Services

I found one article of interest:
- <a href="http://www-128.ibm.com/developerworks/library/ws-best1/">Best
practices for Web services</a>

Can anyone give feedback on the two books or add to the list of resources?

Thanks!
John

Hi John,

I have read the first two books you have mentioned. One is written by
Matthew mcDonald and another by Matthew and Alex.

Both are good books to get a very good understanding of Distributed
programming and Webservices ( the one by Alex ).

I suggest you to get one written by Jeffery Hassan.( The only book I found
with clear explanation of WSE 2.0 in C#.)

Thanks
Ram
