Framework 1.1



XP Operating system rejects my attempt to upgrade Framework 1.1. Perhaps
this is the wrong place but:

Several months ago I uninstalled Visual Basic.NET. Now I decided to
reinstall but the attempt was rejected! All kinds of undecipheralbe
error messages (as usual) such as: ...failed to find global prop in
CUIMgr::Get GlobalPropertyC) and also Error 16. Hopefully there is a
cure for this, avoiding contact with MS. Part of the problem was perhaps
the initial installation not using the default location C:\Program
Files.

BTW, I did reinstall in another computer on my LAN, successfully, even
though I prefer of have it on the original PC which is faster.
