RDF and Inference

Hi !

I'm interested in XML/RDF as a logic language and reason on it. I'm
looking for an inference API in ECMAScript/Javascript. Google finds some
interesting stuff but I'm wandering if there is nothing standard or
becoming a standard.

Moreover, I would be glad to hear from any of your experiences using RDF
as a query language.

Thanks in advance.

All the interesting work happens in Java. Bridging JavaScript -> Java,
then using the Java tools, would seem to be the way to go.

OTOH, reasoners (I'm using Pellet) implement DIG as an interface over
HTTP, so there's no reason why you couldn't go straight into it from
JavaScript (not that I've seen it done directly). Who's for AJAX and
some client-side reasoner integration into web apps ? 8-)

RDF isn't itself a query language, but SPARQL et al. are.

You might find next month's Jena user conference interesting (HP Labs,
Bristol, UK)
