xml file data source

I would like to run SELECT SQL queries against DataTable's in my DataSet
which has been initialized with ReadXml. Has anyone done this? What is the
connect string, provider, etc? How?

DataSet is a disconnected in memory cache of data.
Irrespective of how you populate it, you can always use a DataView or the
Select method on DataTable to query it.
