Visual Studio .Net 2003

I have recently installed Visual Studio .Net 2003 and have
noticed that there are problems with formatting in the
HTML code page. If I format the HTML the way I want and
navigate back to design view then the changes in the code
page are lost. I searched around and found that there was
a patch for Visual Studio .Net 2002 referenced by
Microsoft Knowledge Base Article - 324199. I tried to load
this patch but of course it won't patch 2003. So then I
started wondering, why would Microsoft put out a patch for
a known bug in the 2002 version without rolling that bug
fix into the latest version (2003). Well, I snapped out of
my daydream and realized that I was dealing with
Microsoft. Anyway, is there a patch for this issue in 2003
as there was in 2002 or do I need to unload 2003 and
install 2003 and then install the patch?

Mike,

Thanks for the reply. When I referred to changes I meant
the formatting changes within the HTML page. When I tried
to format the HTML "my way" Uncle Bill reformatted it his
way. As I originally stated, this was a problem in
previous releases but was fixed with a patch. My complaint
is that it is very Microsoftesqe that the patch was not
rolled into the the 2003 release. Now, they don't even
have a patch for the 2003 release. I have since
uninstalled the 2003 version and have rolled back to the
2002 version and the patch works fine. Unfortunately, I
won't be purchasing 2003 and Uncle Bill loses the revenue.

Hi Chris,

The problem with reformatting is very unfortunate and much regreted. However, it's probably not going to be fixed soon. You also mentioned thatchanges you have made are lost. Can you provide a set of steps to reproducethe problem in 2003?

Thank you, Mike Moore
