Creating COM Components in VB.NET

Hi all ,
I was interviewing this girl and she said

"I have create COM components in VB.net all the time and i create these
ActiveX componenents in VB.net and register them using the GAC registering
utility", now as far as i know this is not a possiblity at all since i have
never heard it or never done it unless their is some new trick out their that
everybody knows except me ?

Please tell me if this is a possiblity at all!
thanks

Sounds like she just *loves* to create COM components in .NET, instead
of .NET assemblies ? ;-)
...and register them using the GAC registering utility"

AFAIK, They can be registered using regasm.exe, not the GAC registering
utility (gacutil.exe). So that statement is technically incorrect.

Cerebrus.
