Excel and Word documents do not open

I am having a strange issue where our word and excel documents will not open
on our production enviroment. We are running an ASP.Net application.
Everything works fine in our dev and qa enviroments. We are senting the file
through response.Binarywrite to the client. We are running a compression
tool called httpzip on our production server but I have turned off the
compression for those application types and setup the exclusions for the
extensions and the specific page we use. We recieve an invalid format and if
you save the file and compare it to the original, or one download from our
other enviroments, the files are completely diferent. I also installed
httpzip on our dev enviroment and have had no problems. Any ideas or
suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
