validating xml

Hi there,

I am an XML newbie and I am trying to create a valid XML document.
Unfortunatelly the W3 validator outputs an error and I can not figure out what I
did wrong.

Can somebody help?
Here is the link:

Thank you,

Merlin

Your document has an encoding declaration saying it's encoded in UTF-8, but
it isn't.

Hi. Could you be more specific. Which character is the one that does not comply
with UTF8? I did set my processor to UTF8, so there must be an error. If I would
knew the char I could fix it.

Thanx, Merlin

Perhaps the '³' is not properly encoded as UTF-8.

In the <description> element starting "Erstzulassen 4/1997" there is
what appears to be superscript 3 encoded in Latin-1, after "1984 cm".
That's just the first one, there are many other non-ascii characters
with the same problem.

Read the error message: it tells you. Line 30, Character 20.
Setting the processor to UTF8 isn't the question: the file must
also be in UTF8. Yours isn't.
