Intellisense has gone whacky

Intellisense has begun to act up. It has worked great until now. It just
started that when I type the first letter of a word it immediately adds a
set of parenthesis after the letter. If I try to backspace, I can delete the
close parenthesis but when I get to the open parenthesis it retypes them
both and puts the cursor at the end of the line. It doesn't matter which
character I type on the line, it always does this weird behavior. I have
done a virus scan and adware scan using two different tools with no problems
found.

I realize I could disable Intellisense but to me it is a godsend but will do
for now what I have to to keep working. Any ideas sure would be nice. TIA,
Tim.

BTW - I just discovered that this behavior only happens after I run then
break the program. When I first load Visual Studio 2005 and type it works
fine but then wigs out after a break. Suggestions greatly appreciated.

I tried to do a repair install but that didn't work so I did a (painful)
complete uninstall/reinstall and the problem (plus a few others) is solved.
