WEb service not stopping processing even if client requested for stop.

Hi all,

I am having web service which is deployed on windows server 2003.

I am using that web service in my windows application.

That window service is inserting large amount of data from file into
sql server's database.

My first problem is it is giving me error :-
Process failed. Reason :- The request failed with HTTP status 504:
Proxy Timeout ( This operation returned because the timeout period
expired. ).

And after that i closed my application.

Strange problem which i am facing is even if my client application is
closed and if i look at sql database, web service still adding data to
databse.

Means web service is continouously adding content of file to database.

Is there any way to stop web method from executing as soon as clinet is
closed.

Please help me

Thanks in advance.
