Problem using ssl with webservice.htc, Help needed

Hello all,

I am using a webpage having a grid and im calling a webservice
method(using webservice.htc) which after 5 seconds updates the content
of the grid, uptil now everything is working fine.

But now I want to use it with https so now what should i Do..

I actually have many confusions regarding this issue...

1) Can I use a non secure(non https) webservice (in regard to
webservice.htc) in a secure(https) webpage?
If yes then how? If not how do i use it with secure(webservice.. I mean
how do i use a secure webservice with webservice.htc)

2) How can I use https and non-https webpages in same website, because
I noticed one thing
that e.g. If I have 2 pages, page1 with ssl required and page2 with no
ssl required...
when I navigate from page1 to page2, the page2 gets opened with https
url... why? and how can I forced it no to do this way? BTW im actually
using Response.Redirect("page2.aspx") from page1 to page2.

Please help me out on this...
i'd preferrably like to have everything secure the page as well as the
webservice...
So how do i use it with webservice.htc...

Thanks
Cheers...

Bye
