Activating SSL on webservice

Hi,

I just wrote my first .net web service ;), but now I want to restrict any
unencrypted access to it (I created a certificate and added it to the IIS).
Now, the question is: Do I have to change any source code to reflect the
encrypted connection? Or can any user/admin decide whether the webservice
shall use normal HTTP (80) or secure HTTPS without any changes on the source
code?

thanks a lot,

Peter

Hi,

You don't need to change any code unless you want to use client certificates
too.
