Hi--
I am having trouble with bitmap images displaying. They are bitmap
versions of icons. I have a program that uses these bitmap images to
display at certain points specified in a layer. I have been using this
program for almost 4 years now. When I go to other machines,
everything works correctly. But, for some reason, about 2 weeks ago on
my machine the images stop displaying. Now, all that I get is a
small dot on the screen in some color that the control decides to show.
In the past I could double click on the layer and change the
attributes, so that it would no longer display the images. Now, when I
do this I get the following error:
"An unhandled exception of type
'System.Runtime.InteropServices.ExternalException' occured in
system.drawing.dll
Additional information: A genereic error occured in GDI+."
I also get various errors from the programs internal side if I try to
interact with the images. In the past this has worked fine, but not
now.
I have been unable to track or debug this error. Other programs seem
to handle my bitmaps fine, but for some reason not this one. I have
tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program to no avail.
Could it be possible that my system.drawing.dll got corrupted? If so,
how do I go about replacing/repairing it? Any other suggestions or
workaround would be helpful.
Thanks,
mhos
