Browse Network Component

This is technically my first full scale VS project, so I may be way off
base.

I would like to develop an application that can import, export, combine, and
edit distribution list from outlook.

One of the features of this app would be to take the profile folder names
from (a) box(es) across the network and compile distribution list based on
user that have logged in on them. This may seem hackish and there may be a
better approach than just using a file system, but at this point this will
be fine.(Any other suggestion would be nice). From this list I would like to
check the profile name against AD and create a Distribution List for import
into Outlook.

So, basically I am stuck at the point where I need to find a box across the
network. I would have expected this component to be apart of the default
toolbox in VS.NET, but alas it is not. There are two common tools that I've
seen in apps that allow this. The first can be seen in mstsc.exe the
dialogue pops up when you dropdown the text/selection box and click browse.
The other is the selection you get from going to My Network Places under
Entire Network under Microsoft Windows Network. I've seen Hybrids of this
component with selection boxes next to them to select multiple boxes. If
anyone has any advice or resources please let me know.

As for the larger project creating distribution list this is my overall
objective and realize that this will require building many different
components for the app to function. Again since I've never under taken a
project like this one any advice or resources on planning and developing an
app like this in VS.Net would be appreciated.

Thanks,
-=Chad=-
