xml soap 2 file?

I am a newby with xml and soap stuff but have a problem to solve with my
customer. I need to program a interface with a web service that
communicates by soap requests and responces.
To make it simple temporarely, is there something, some small command
line program that forwards soap requests from a xml file and saves
response as another file, or something that could help?
Thanks

Most of the XML editors have support for communicating with web
services:
oXygen, stylus studio, xml spy
