How much does the .net license cost

Hi all,
I have made an application using team suite 2005 beta2 trial version
and to distribute it i want to procure the license for deploying the
project that i made in vb.net. I have used Crystal reports X that comes
along with the team suite 2005 beta 2.
My question is I need to sell this to one customer, in that case where
do i get the license from. Do i have to get the whole IDE license or is
there some deployment license itself. Just concerned if it would cost
me more than what i would get.
I have a licensed version of VS 2005 standard edition but not team
suite so i had to prepare the project in trial version contaiing the
crystal reports.

Anybody has any ideas on what i can do best.

Sounds a bit confusing.... If you own VS2005, you compile the apps you
create and distribute them alone (if the end user already has the
framework). There's no licensing requirement for the end user. They don't
get Visual Studio, they only get the compiled app you created.

My problem is i have licensed version of VS 2005 standard edition (IT
does not have crysttal reports .net)
So to develop the appliication i used VS 2005 .net beta 2 (TEAM suite)
that has crystal reports
But now to distribute ddo i need to buy the whole thing 2005 team
suite with crystal reports.

in that case how much will it cost.

VS 2005 Pro, 1 user, full package runs around $1,200 depending on where you
buy it

That is too high.. I am not going to get even half of that amount from
one user

isnt there something like the license to deploy per user... Have we to
buy the whole IDE tooo just for distribution...

No, there are no redistribution costs or anything like that (that would
be a very bad thing).

It's just that if you want to use Visual Studio to develop apps, you
have to pay for it (just like they expect you to pay for ms office if
you intend to use it), otherwise there are other IDEs you can use.
They're not forcing you to buy anything, much less so you distribute
stuff. You buy Visual Studio if you want to use Visual Studio... That's
it. If it's too expensive for you, it means it's not targeted at you
(i.e. they expect you to use the express edition products instead)

As for your beta 2, you'd need a "go live" license to distribute
anything made with it (and the beta IDE will eventually expire). And
IIRC, once the final/RTM is out, you're not allowed to distribute apps
made with the beta version anymore...

Here's the license agreement:

It mentions "Client Application" (1.2) but then does not use the term in
the second section, which describes the licesning terms.

It refers to a "Server/Web server" application (3.1.1).

It sounds to me like you can distribute the Crystal Runtime with your
application. I believe because they mention "Client Application" in
1.2, and do not deny distribution in any subsequent part of the license,
that you can distribute just the runtime dlls with your client.
I am not a lawyer, nor do I play one on tv.
