Thank you guys; all these examples assume I want to look at disks etc. alas
and alak, i want to check to see that a printer is really there and not
broken; i'm OK now with the VB/WMI side, it's WMI magic strings that I can't
find documentation for. They seem to assume you can derive an infinite
combination of strings from a few very specific examples.
