xsd generator

All, I'm new to XML and to this group. I'm looking for an XSD generator
to create an xsd doc for a given XML file.
I tried this link: http://www.hitsw.com/xml_utilites/ but it does not
seem to preserve the XML file but created an alphabetically sorted list
of elements. It's my understanding that the xsd doc needs to preserve
order of the XML elements. Am I right?
Does anyone know a good xsd generator that could be used?

Also, are there any free tools that'll read an xsd and confirm whether
or not a given xml file conforms to this xsd?

Visual Studio 2005 will do what you want. You can get Express version for
free from MSDN site.
There are several XSD validators available on the web. Here are a few
links:
